Frederik August Hallin
Frederik August Hallin (26.6.1865 Stockholm - 25.3.1947 Copenhagen) started his career after his education at the Technical School for Artists in Copenhagen in the Alumina factory. He moved to Royal Copenhagen Porcelain factory to work for Frederik Liisberg and soon began to also create and decorate unique porcelain vases and chargers. He was seen as most talented successor of Arnold Krog. After 10 years he left Royal Copenhagen to join the competitor Bing&Gröndahl. In the first year there he designed the first Christmas plate worldwide - "Behind the frozen Window". The series was a big success for Bing&Gröndahl. For some time in the beginning he was directing the activities of the Crystaline Glaze Department. He retired in 1935.
