Johanne Oppermann
"Johanne Louise Oppermann was painter. She was born on 28.02.1860 in Frederiksberg and died 25.12.1939 in Hellerup, D. on Frederiksberg. Her parents were Section Head in Justitsministry Senior Rudolph Theodor Oppermann and Christiane Margrethe Wolff. Oppermann married Ditlev Berg on 07.06.1895 at Frederiksberg. He was born 10.12.1853 in Hem and died 05.03.1932 in Hell. He was the son of the vicar Andreas Hoyer Berg and Charlotte Louise Birgitte Oppermann.
Johanne Oppermann dealt with flower painting, both as a painter and during employment at Royal Copenhagen, where her underglaze paintings usually characterized by delicate colors. She interrupted her career when she married and moved to Aalborg.
Oppermann was educated at Vilhelm Kyhns Painting School 1876-81.
She was an underglaze Painter at the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory from 1889- 95."
